J's Wok Restaurant

J's is a special place where regulars are treated like family. Jane and Wayne have brought J's back to the ken level after a slow start. Come alone and sit at the big table. Food is great, selection of chinese or western food is great, specials always wonderful....or ask Wayne to surprise you based on your budget.Don't go without trying the wor won ton. you won't be disappointed.

The little restaurant itself is just a whole in the wall.We knew it was there for several years but never tried it out.Today we did and ordered just a simple dish,special chop suey. The vegetables were nicely done and a good variety of them, but the whole dish had no taste and flavour, it was just BLAW,BLAW , BLAW.
We will never go there again,

My favorite Canadian Chinese cafe closed down in New West so I have been looking...trying out different Chinese food restaurants...Didn't really care for the Old J's Wok, but love the New one...it is now my favorite! Food was fresh, delivery fast...in fact, am ordering tonight and am sure I will enjoy it.

I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had, but it is very good and it is reasonable priced. The staff are very friendly as well. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal at a decent price.

Have eaten there twice since the change-over (first time totally expecting the traditional excellent food / second time in hopes that it was just a fluke that it was bad the first time). I am so seriously disgusted with it that I have been on the lookout for a new place ever since. Does Ken have a son or daughter that would consider taking his place?

worst chinese food ever. ordered takeout - individuals who came after me & ordered take-out got served 1st.

I've been eating there for 25+ years. It changed hands a year + ago when Ken retired but the food is still very good

hot and delicious, they will tweek your meal any way you like it.

Some of the best asian food around. I love eating from there, and the staff and owners are most hospitable and welcoming.

I would not say the best , cause there is always some place better no matter what ! But it is really a fantastic restaurant. Very good sized portions , and never have I had to complain about the quality of the food , which to is a bonus. So great JOB J's WOK

We've been eating there since 1990 and it's the best!Really good food at great prices! Portions are huge,and the quality is there! Their higher end food is great! They cater to a western style crowd as well.

alright i did end up going there.. Its probably the best one in the 1000 blk of austin ave. Bland food, NOT high quality too much filler veggies on the meat dishes, nice people, But NOT, NOT the Best place in the tri city,

I have gone to J's Wok on several occasions and I never fail to find the food very tasty and the portions more than adequate.

Lately, however, with the total bill in the $12-$13 range, the waitresses are now asking if I require change for my $20.00. As I am not in the habit of tipping some 60%, they instantly lose the amount that I was going to leave for a tip.

J's Wok is astounding considering it's decor and location. The Tri-cities is lucky to have such quality food...

The BEST tri city chinese food around ,family run buissness you gotta try the dry green beans [hot]and the green beans in black bean sauce

Have only had it delivered but by far the best take out I have had in the tri-cities.

The best! You have got to try Kenny's Wor Wonton (share with 3-5 people) and ask for a Bird's nest special. Portions are huge, service is homey and prices are excellent. Nothing fancy about the decor but the food beats a facy table setting in my mind. A must try!

The very best Chinese food I've ever eaten. I would recommend J's Wok to anyone who loves good Chinese food.
