Akari Japanese Restaurant

we eat here about once a month and it is our sushi place of choice for the tri city area. My favorite is their crispy roll, and kamakazi roll.

This is most definitely the best Japanese restaurant I've been to. You can easily find much cheaper sushi places, but the experience will never match. I have gone with my sister a couple of times and the bill is usually around $60 for the both of us (but we do eat a lot). The atmosphere is very relaxing. The quality of the food is impeccable. And the best part about this restaurant I would say is the service. The servers are very attentive, and always in a great mood. The first time we came to this restaurant, we were so amazed that we ended up happily giving a tip of over 30 percent. If you want to enjoy a great meal in a great atmosphere, this is certainly the place.

This is possibly the best Japanese restaurant in GVRD. Staff are extremely friendly and chefs are dinamic, most of all, the prices are affordable.

their creme brulee is excellent, as well as the tuna tataki salad is super large as well. Don't compare akari to sushi town or places like those, quality is definitely not the same, Akari is more like a higher class line and sushi town is more like a regular line

I've been there with my young children and the servers are always so nice and accommodating! The food is excellent and I really enjoy the serene decor with the soothing sound of the fountain in the background while dining.

I highly recommend this restaurant.

I eat here all the time, and I find the food to be fresh, and the facility to be clean, very important in a sushi house

I agree the food quality fluctuates and that the food here is really just average. They have one waitress who is especially rude. She even made us clean up for her - telling us (yes, I mean TELLING us, not ASKING us!) to pass all our bowls and plates to her.

For that price range, Sushi California at Lougheed and Austin Road is much better.

This is one of the best japanese resterants that i have been to. The food is high quality and the servis is great and the staff is frendly. I would highly recommend this resterant to anyone.

Very good Japanese Restaurant. The service is consistantly good and friendly and the food is excellent. My wife and I have eaten at most Japanese Restaurants in the TRICITY area, and right now we believe this is the best.

This is my favorite Japanese lunch spot. The lunch bentos are delicious, generous and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is classy and the staff are friendly.

The atmosphere is more of a high class restaurant than your usual sushi restaurants. Food and customer service was excellent. Have been for dinner twice and it is consistent. Fresh. Higher than average price. Excellent music.
